Short Hike/Big Payoff

Hiking in the Conejo Canyon Open Space Trails (via Santa Rosa Valley Park) to today.  This jewel is just 6 miles  east of the 101 in Camarillo. 

 Trail head starts about 1/4 mile from Santa Rosa Park but most people will park in the free parking lot across from the trail.  You cross a bridge, turn left and stay on the trail for about a mile. 

You'll see a sign that says "Hawk Canyon Trail/Western Plateau".  Make a sharp left cause were not going either of those places. 

About 1/2 mile further you'll see another bridge.  Go up the fire road for about another 1/4 mile.  

Time to turn around and admire the view!
